Bequeath a wreath: Funds go to CNIB

For those who prefer shopping from the comfort of their own home before holiday madness sets in, this feel-good purchase is for you: A beautiful, fresh wreath is available for order through CNIB — that’s The Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

Made for CNIB by DeLong Farms, which is located in New Germany, N.S., the wreath can be shipped to almost anywhere in Canada and the United States (some exceptions apply) for a total cost of $ 45.

Funds from the wreath go toward CNIB’s various programs to help those who have vision loss. (An alarming stat, care of CNIB: Every 12 minutes, someone in Canada develops blindness or partial sight.)

To order the pine-cone bedecked ornament, visit cnib.ca/wreaths. Orders must be placed by Dec. 7 to ensure delivery before Dec. 22.
