Two people are dead and seven are injured after a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a van on a Caledon highway Saturday night.
OPP officers say one person was in the GMC pickup truck heading northbound on Hwy. 10 when the truck entered the southbound lanes for unknown reasons.
The truck then collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey minivan containing eight people near Forks of the Credit Rd. around 10:30 p.m.
Two people were pronounced dead on-scene. Two others have serious injuries, with one clinging to life at Sunnybrook trauma centre and another in severe condition at St. Michael’s hospital.
The five other people in the crash have minor injuries. Hwy. 10 re-opened after being closed for several hours overnight.
More to come.
