City of Toronto to mark Ecuador’s annual Independence Day

    City of Toronto representative Councillor Frances Nunziata (Ward 11 York South-Weston) will be joined by the Consul General of Ecuador in Toronto, Ann Martillo, at a flag-raising ceremony on Friday honouring Ecuador’s annual Independence Day.

The Republic of Ecuador’s Independence Day is a national holiday that acknowledges and celebrates the achievements, traditions and culture of Ecuador. The Toronto ceremony is part of the City of Toronto’s friendship agreement with Ecuador’s capital city, Quito.
