KEY MATCHUP

Gallinari vs. Carroll

Six-foot-10 Danilo Gallinari averages a team-high 17.4 points per game along with 6.6 rebounds and is a multi-faceted scorer who will tax Carroll’s defensive abilities. Gallinari isn’t a great defender, however, and Toronto can go at him.

NEED TO KNOW

The Nuggets dragged the weight of a seven-game losing streak into their game Wednesday night in Chicago. Their Toronto stop is the fourth of a five-game road trip. … Wilson Chandler, who has given Toronto fits a few times, is out for the season after hip surgery. … Rookie point guard Mudiay is off to a solid start, averaging more than 12 points and almost six rebounds for the Nuggets. … This opens a six-game homestand for the Raptors, who have yet to play back-to-back games at the Air Canada Centre.
