Eurospec Manufacturing Upgrades to Solarsoft ERP System

Toronto News, (PR) April 24, 2012

Solarsoft Business Systems, a leading provider of enterprise software and IT services to manufacturers worldwide, today announced that Solarsofts ERP system for discrete manufacturers, Solarsoft iVP, has been selected by Eurospec Manufacturing, a supplier of stamped metal parts for the North American automotive industry.

Solarsoft provides modern enterprise software and IT services to manufacturers, distributors and wholesale businesses in North America, Europe and Asia. The company has grown organically and through acquisition since 1986 and has worldwide revenues of US$ 100 million. Solarsoft employs more than 400 professionals providing local support across 16 time zones. More than 2,000 companies rely on Solarsoft to bring clarity and efficiency to their daily operations.

Eurospec selected Solarsoft iVP to replace its outdated ERP software, which had been implemented more than a decade ago. We reached the point where it was more effective for us to invest in a new system than to go through a series of costly and time-consuming system updates, says Peter Gismondi, Materials and Procurement Manager at Eurospec. Our existing system also lacked integration between the accounting and operations side of our business, requiring a lot of manual intervention to bring data over. We see Solarsoft iVP helping us automate those processes.

Solarsoft also provides multi-cavity tool support, an integral part of Eurospecs process. Solarsoft calculates the demand of all the parts in a multi-cavity tool, while the other software packages evaluated could only calculate the demand of one part.

We ultimately chose Solarsoft because of their experience with automotive parts manufacturers, says Gismondi.
