The two-alarm fire that “fully engulfed” the roof of an industrial building in North York is largely under control, Toronto Fire says, but firefighters are still trying to extinguish hot spots.
Earlier Wednesday afternoon, black smoke billowed from the former auto shop, creating a plume that could be seen from all over the city.
The building is on Rivalda Drive in the Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue West area.

No injuries have been reported, police confirm.
While the fire has been tamed, road closures could still cause problems for drivers and transit. Rivalda Road is entirely closed. Weston Road is closed from Habitant to Blackstock Road.
