Matt Frattin, Connor Brown each score twice to lead Marlies over Bulldogs


HAMILTONMatt Frattin extended his scoring streak to four games with a pair of goals as the Marlies doubled up the host Hamilton Bulldogs 4-2 on Friday in American Hockey League play.

The 27-year-old winger has five goals in his past four outings and 15 in 30 games played, which leads all Toronto skaters.

Connor Brown also scored twice for the Marlies (20-18-9), while prospect William Nylander tacked on an assist to give him five points in eight games since coming over from Sweden.

Frattin opened the scoring at 17:14 of the first period and Brown added two more goals in the second period to make it 3-0 Toronto after 40 minutes of play.

Christopher Gibson made 33 saves for Toronto.
