Habs rally falls short in L.A.
?It was a better effort for the Canadiens in Los Angeles, but the Habsstill dropped their third consecutive game on their California trip. Down2-0, Montreal rallied for three straight goals and appeared to steal the game. But a power-play goal by Kings forward Marian Gaborik — his second of the game — tied the score 3-3 with 45 seconds remaining regulation time.
Afterovertime solved nothing, the Kings won 4-3 in the shootout when centre Anze Kopitar scored on his attempt and Canadiens counterpart Lars Eller hit the point on his try.
Dustin Tokarski got the start for the Habs in net, earning his sixth win of the season as Carey Price got a much deserved night off.

?Canucks time travel to 1996
It was throwback night in Arizona where the lowly Coyotes adorned their original jerseys and ended a 10-game losing streak, beating the Canucks in a shootout 3-2.
Vancouver’s loss, combined with Calgary’s victory, means the Canucks are only one point ahead of the Flames in the Pacific Division, hanging on to seventh spot in the WesternConference.
Vancouver’s Chris Higgins and Jannik Hansen connected on a give-and-go play to start the scoring for the Canucks in the third period.
The game can pretty much be summed up by the opening goal, where the Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov was left so wide open, he had time to file his taxes before sniping a top-shelf goal past goalie JonathanBernier.

It wasn’t all bad for the Leafs as forward David Booth showed the team still has their moments, stripping Tampa Bay’s Cedric Paquette of the puck and chipping home a pass from Peter Holland.
