Board-certified San Francisco plastic surgeon Dr. Karen Horton has announced the release of a new website focusing on cosmetic enhancement procedures at her practice ranging from breast augmentation to BOTOX Cosmetic. Dr. Horton says through the sites new features, she hopes to enhance doctor-patient communication and promote educated decision-making with regards to plastic surgery procedures amongst her current and potential patients. She also says she is excited about the opportunity for patients to witness firsthand her commitment to the highest quality results, satisfaction, and comfort.
Dr. Horton says her website combines reader-friendly language and accurate medical terminology to convey the importance of experience and extensive training in a plastic surgeons credentials but also a personal, attentive nature. Notable features of the website include enhanced graphics, a custom-designed photo gallery, and social media buttons. Dr. Horton adds that as more patients rely on connectivity and networking through the Internet, she hopes the new website will meet patients needs by providing instant, reliable information. Whether patients are looking for answers to frequently asked questions about recovery expectations for a mommy makeover or a photo example of Dr. Hortons work, she says they will have a wealth of cosmetic enhancement resources at their fingertips.
Developed in partnership with Rosemont Media, a medical website design firm based out of San Diego, Dr. Horton says the new website is targeted to offer patients an interactive database and improve the online researching process. By placing an emphasis on interaction and education, she says she hopes to empower her patients to take a more active role in their plastic surgery experience, hopefully enhancing results and satisfaction.
Dr. Karen Horton earned her medical degree from the University of Toronto, after which she completed five years of training in Plastic Surgery in order to attain the status of a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Horton also trained during a Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery in San Francisco. She is a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and Reconstructive Microsurgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and several other professional organizations. Dr. Horton has been published in several review books on breast surgery, in addition to being featured on television shows and local newscasts. She has also made presentations at national and international scientific meetings.
