Police release description of vehicle involved in fatal hit-and-run

York police are asking for the public’s help in finding a car involved in a hit-and-run Saturday that left a pedestrian dead.

The 72-year-old victim was crossing Kennedy Rd., south of Denison St., at about 7 p.m. when he was hit by a light-coloured older model (1997-2001) Toyota Corolla. Police believe there may be heavy damage to the front end.

Police are also looking to speak with a possible witness spotted on surveillance tape exiting the Oriental Food Mart plaza with a full view of the collision.
