Santa Claus is coming to town in style Sunday with his 111th annual parade, which promises plenty of Christmas cheer and big new floats.

The parade starts at 12:30 p.m., when children of all ages will line the streets to see jolly old Saint Nick.

This year’s edition will feature 26 floats, 21 marching bands, and three floats from Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

The parade will follow the same route as last year, beginning at Bloor and Christie Sts., then head toward University Ave., where it will travel south to Wellington St. and then head east and wrap up at St. Lawrence Market.

Police will start towing vehicles along the route at 6 a.m. Sunday. Motorists can expect delays and should consider avoiding the area
