Scotiabank has been the title sponsor of Nuit Blanche since its inception in 2006. Now in its seventh year, Scotiabank Nuit Blanche has earned the support of the public, the participating artists, and corporate sponsors as it continues to bring innovative artistic experiences to the public from dusk until dawn. Scotiabank’s ongoing support for the event demonstrates its commitment and dedication to arts and culture in Toronto.
“We are looking forward to joining Toronto’s night owls for this year’s Scotiabank Nuit Blanche in Toronto,” said Duncan Hannay, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Scotiabank. “This is our seventh year as title sponsor, and we’re especially excited to invite spectators to view our contribution to the evening – REFLEXION, a unique interactive art installation at Yonge-Dundas Square – and to take part in the Richness Project, both new this year.”
REFLEXION is a geometric sculpture with multiple cameras which will look out at the audience and create a reflection of onlookers viewing the installation.
Scotiabank also invites Torontonians taking part in the overnight celebration to share a “Richness Moment” from their experience. A photo, video or ‘richness is… message’ can be uploaded to the Richness Project at http://www.therichnessproject.com. For each upload during Nuit Blanche, the Bank will donate one dollar to the Arts for Children & Youth, an organization that enriches the lives of young people from Toronto’s under-serviced communities through engaging arts education programs.
This year’s official zone sponsors are Chevrolet, the Toronto Eaton Centre and Timothy’s World Coffee. Along with generous financial support for the overall event, each of these sponsors has provided enhanced funding to co-produce an art project with local Toronto artists.
