Suspect arrested in December stabbing in St. James Town
Toronto police have identified arrested a suspect in a St. James Town stabbing last month that left one man dead and another in critical condition.
Police were called to the intersection of Sherbourne St. and Earl St. on the afternoon of Dec. 20. A confrontation in an apartment building ended with two men stabbed and collapsed on Sherbourne St.
Glenton Gibson, 23, died of his injuries. The second victim, whose name hasn’t been released, is still recovering.
On Friday night, 19-year-old Trestan Brown surrendered to police. He has been charged with multiple offences, including second-degree murder and attempted murder.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday morning.
