Top-Five Architectural Design Firm HKS Selects CCG Electronic Invoicing to Improve Financial Oversight

Toronto News, (PR) May 22, 2012

Global architectural design firm HKS, Inc. recently implemented Central Consulting Group (CCG)s Electronic Invoicing software for Deltek Vision to improve oversight of and speed the client invoicing process.

HKS, Inc. is a leading architectural design firm ranked among the top five architectural engineering firms, according to Building Design+Construction magazine. Since its founding in 1939, HKS has completed construction projects totaling more than $ 73 billion in more than 1,178 cities located in 77 countries. The firm operates from 29 offices worldwide.

CCG Electronic Invoicing transformed a manual process with multiple paper documents into a single electronic system, so we have one source of truth, said Jack Clark, vice president of business systems for HKS. When accounting creates a draft invoice, the software automatically sends an email to the correct reviewers, letting them know the invoice is ready. Reviewers see the invoice online, along with the billing detail, and can mark it up using built-in notation tools. Accounting can see which invoices are ready to bill and which still need attention.

CCG serves architectural, engineering and professional services firms across the United States and Canada by helping them get more out of their software. As a Deltek Premier Partner, CCG specializes in implementation and customization of Deltek Vision ERP software, and extends the core Deltek Vision application by offering a suite of powerful, proprietary addon financial products.

Clark noted that once HKS project managers experienced how easy the system was to use, they appreciated the efficiency. We are able to add fields that give the product a Microsoft Excel?-like feel, so it is intuitive for project managers, he said. In fact, most project managers become comfortable with the product after a 30-minute training session.
