NEED TO KNOW
- A schedule break: It’s been a tough stretch for the Raptors, who wrapped up three games in four nights with the loss to the L.A. Clippers on Monday night. But they catch a bit of a break as Portland plays in Sacramento on Tuesday before heading home to face Toronto.
- Advantage, Raptors: The Blazers are still led by the solid backcourt duo of Lillard and McCollum but their struggles on the wing and in the frontcourt might be an issue. Siakam will be a tough cover for Portland and it’s hard to see a Blazers big man being able to run with Chris Boucher.
- Family affair: It’s got to be getting close to the last time the Gasol brothers — Toronto’s Marc, 34, and Portland’s Pau, 39 — play against each other. Pau Gasol signed a one-year free agency deal with the Trail Blazers in the summer but is injured and has yet to play in a game.
