A woman remains in critical condition after being hit by a TTC bus in the west end of Scarborough on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the 47-year-old woman was struck just before 4 p.m. as she tried to walk northbound across Eglinton Ave. E. near Sinnot Rd., which is just west of Birchmount Rd.
The bus had just picked up passengers and started moving past the intersection when it struck the woman, police said. She was briefly trapped before crews arrived.
Paramedics transferred the woman in life-threatening condition to Sunnybrook trauma centre.
Eglinton Ave. E. was closed in both directions for three hours as Traffic Services investigated.
Investigators are asking witnesses to call them at 416-808-1900.
